In many countries leprosy still excists, especially among the poorest people. In many cases they are still forced to leave their homes because family and neighbours are afraid for contagion. NLR wants to train as many doctors as possible to recognise leprosy in an early stage. In this way injuries and disabilities can be prevented. A leprosy training costs 54 euro. That is only 15 cent a day!
